Art's Corner The end of April sees the end to a period of intense education and communication within the Capital District. Between January and April this education and communication took the form of eight Kiwanis Mid-Winter Conferences, Key Club and CKI District Conventions, Board meetings, many club visits and divisional meetings. A portion of these meetings was devoted to the Governor's briefing as to the status of the Capital District and needs that should be addressed. more |

Key-Leader Weekend a Success! April 25-27, 2008 was my second time at Key-Leader. The first was as a new participant last October. This time I returned as a faciltator and enjoyed working alongside the adults to make the weekend at Arlington Echo Education Center in Millersville, MD special for the first-timers. Every high schooler student should be able to experience Key-Leader. more |

ALS! April 19th, 2008 turned out to be a beautiful day in Williamsburg, VA. With not a single cloud in the sky, W&M CKI headed to Plumeri Park to Strike Out ALS. Our goal this year was to raise $5,000 for the ALS Association MD/DC/VA Chapter and we did just that! more |
Suburban Frederick and Westminster Clubs to Hold Recruitment Drive at Keys Baseball
Game June 14th The Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick together with the Westminster Kiwanis Club is hosting a special KIWANIS evening at the Frederick Keys minor league baseball game being played at Harry Grove stadium (right) in Frederick, MD on June 14, 2008. The evening is an integral part of the club's plan for the recruitment of new members in 2008. more |
