Kiwanis Hosts New Teachers

The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson
hosted the new teachers of Poquoson School system,
along with Poquoson's new School Superintendent at
their annual teachers' welcome breakfast.
Dr. Jennifer B. Parish, formerly Chief Academic Officer
at York County School System, introduced principals
from Primary, Elementary, Middle, and High schools,
who in turn introduced the new teachers. Larry Svihla,
Kiwanis Club President, presented $50 Office Max gift
certificates for the 25 new teachers. "We know that
teachers often purchase classroom supplies out of their
own money," Larry said, "so this will help." Pictured
are the new teachers, principals, and others from the
school. Dr. Parish is at the far left.
