William T. Howard, Jr. - 52 years a Kiwanian

Kiwanis Club of Frederick MD lost one of its senior members on December 28, 2009, when Mr. William T. "Bill" Howard, Jr. (right), passed away at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Mr. Howard had been in declining health for the past two years. Bill joined the Frederick Kiwanis Club February 25, 1957 and since that time had amassed 41 years of perfect attendance. In 1967 he served as President of the club and then in 1989 served Division 9 as Lieutenant Governor. Bill also served several terms on the Board of Directors for the Frederick Club. He was also very active in the Frederick community, being instrumental in establishing "The Catoctones", a chapter of the International Barbershop Society. He also served on numerous fundraising drives for various organizations in the Frederick area.
