CKI at UVA Gathers 50 Young Leaders for Putt-Putt Social
by Jim Hart
More than 50 young leaders in community service gathered for a fun day of Putt-Putt golf on the course on Rio Road East on a beautiful summer Sunday afternoon, September 12. The third annual event, which is coordinated by CKI at the University of Virginia in celebration of the opening of another school year, attracted leaders from the five Key Clubs in Division 5A of the Capital District who joined members of Circle K International and their sponsoring Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville for a study break, socializing, and a friendly game of miniature golf. Somehow the management secured enough putters and a sufficient number of orange balls, signifying a hole-in-one, for the throng which literally blanketed both 18-hole courses.
