Town Center Club

Former Mayor and club member, Myera Oberndorf and Don Jellig board member Together We Can, an organization that supports at risk teens, and our president, Susan Long-Molnar who presented the organization with a check from us.

This month Town Center Kiwanis of Virginia Beach held its annual state of Town Center meeting. We invite guests from the businesses in the area plus member guests to hear a speaker from the city fill us in on the latest information and happenings. This year we heard from Barry Frankenfield who gave us insight into the newest growth areas and what we can expect in the future in those areas. The Hilton Garden Inn provided a lovely sit-down luncheon for the occasion.

The first weekend in April members and their significant others will spend time together socially to get us in gear for the upcoming charity events planned for the coming months--the golf tournament, the Neptune Festival and the Veterans day Town Center Race. A member, Jerry Collier, makes his 4 beach houses available so that every member could be together for this weekend.

Our membership is becoming younger and younger with each new member. They are full of ideas and energy and inspire our more senior members enormously. What a vital club we have!!!
