Rehoboth Kiwanis Food Drive
by Rosemary Cummings
Rehoboth Kiwanis members worked at Rehoboth grocery stores in shifts Saturday mornings, asking shoppers to buy an extra item or two. Shoppers proceeded to fill more than eight store carts with groceries and the Kiwanians then delivered the goods to the Cape Henlopen Food Basket. This community service project has become a bimonthly project as it underscores the tremendous need in the resort communities to help those hard hit with the economic downturn.
