The
Woodbridge Kiwanis Club Participates In The Dumfries, Va,
34th Annual Holiday Parade
by Al Knehans
On Saturday, December 13, 2008, the Woodbridge Kiwanis Club participated in the Dumfries 34th Annual Holiday Parade. While setting up their float for the parade, they had a tailgate party and enjoyed hot drinks and pastries. During the parade, the Club handed out Kiwanis peanuts along the route. The Club extends many thanks to the following members of the Potomac (VA) High School Key Club, who participated in the parade and helped hand out Kiwanis peanuts to the kids along the route: Michelle Martini (team leader), John Labas, Nailea Govea, Paulina Gurung, Tory Pugliese, Becky Foinchas, and Matt Morningstar. A very special thanks to Michelle Martini, who did an outstanding job of coordinating her Club's efforts. This is one of those special Community Service events, which generates a lot of self-satisfaction within the clubs by handing out bags of peanuts and making 2,500 - 3,000 kids and adults along the parade route very happy.
