In October I will be walking in my 3rd Avon Breast Cancer Walk, this time in Charlotte NC. As part of my effort to reach my goal of $3,600, I am holding a fundraiser at Mama Lucia's Italian Restaurant in Frederick. The wonderful ownership of this fine restaurant is donating a portion of all food sales that night (including carryout) to the Avon Breast Cancer Walk.

I hope that you might have some time to come out and join me that night as my fundraising effort continues, and you'll certainly enjoy some wonderful food.

Now about my upcoming walk: I will journey 39 miles over two days, helping to forever alter the lives of thousands affected by breast cancer worldwide. Together, we will unite with one purpose and one goal - to end this deadly disease. I have started my 12 week training schedule (walking 66 miles over the last 3 weeks) to make sure that I am able to complete those 39 miles. This journey like the other two will be filled with emotions like no other I have experienced in my life.
