Mount Vernon Club Donates Bikes

On August 12, Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club member, Richard Peterson, and his friend, Charles Jones (aka the "Bike Doctor") teamed up to deliver 27 reconditioned bicycles to the deserving children in the Creekside Neighborhood Center on Janna Lee Avenue. Receiving the bicycles for the Center was UCM's Youth Counselor, Sandra Medrano. who stated: "Thank you for giving joy and happiness to the kids, Charles...the children are delighted with their bikes, For them, it was a dream come true...the community is filled by children and youth riding bicycles everywhere. Thanks for making this happen." Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club is a partner with UCM in supporting the Creekside Neighborhood Center.
