Kiwanis by the Bay Club Supports Festival

On 1 July 2009, Kiwanis By The Bay (KBTB) helped assure success for the 2nd Annual Spirit of America Festival held in Phoebus, a Virginia Historical District of Hampton Virginia. Building on last year's sponsorship of BBQ for Veterans, this year KBTB sponsored the Children's Tent and grounds which included a book reading by the Mayor of the City of Hampton. KBTB is also a sponsor of the Mayor's reading program throughout the year. KBTB members also supported other key events including the VFW sponsored BBQ which raised ~$1000 for veterans, and the Mustang Show which raised about $1000 for CHKD.
