Visiting Around The Potomac Region
by Trustee Doris Montgomery
As Potomac Region Trustee, I've been on the move since October 1, 2008. Its hard to believe its been 11 months since my three-year term began. I have been down to St Mary's County, up to Montgomery County, Wheaton, Bethesda, DC, and other places. I have attended charter celebrations, Key Clubs, Club board meetings, Capital District board meetings, and other club activities. It has been a blast!
I 'm planning and looking forward to my next term. There are 25 clubs in the Potomac Region. If there are any clubs I may have missed this term, I have two months to visit you. I will certainly make up for it. I must say the Potomac Region is one of the hardest working regions I know. So keep up the good work. I am so pleased and proud to be your Potomac Region Trustee. We may have lost a few members, but we certainly picked up several new members. We must continue our recruiting efforts. 2015 will be here before we know it and what a celebration to look forward to. Wow!!
I would like to inform all Presidents and Secretaries that training is in the planning stages. So, please mark your calendars for dates and places. Many of you did not make the training last year. Please do so this time around. Please contact your LTG for any information on dates and places.
One thing I would like to plan for 2009 - 2010 is the "Kids Against Hunger" as a Potomac Region Project. A program of Feeding Children International. So, Presidents, LTGs, Past LTgs, and members, please let me know if you think this would be a good project for our region. I need feed back ASAP. 301-735-2255 or email me: mdoris@comcast.net.
So, Potomac Region, please think about this as a Regional Project Explosion. I look forward to seeing all of you at the Capital District Convention in Dover, DE, and don't forget to recruit - we must increase our membership.
