Shin Fujiyama Featured Sunday Inspirational Breakfast Speaker

The Capital District Kiwanis 2009 Convention in Dover Delaware will feature Shin Fujiyama as the speaker for the Sunday Inspirational Breakfast. Shin was born in Japan 25 years ago with a hole in his heart that doctors told his parents might take his life. Fortunately the hole closed and Shin got a "second chance" as his biography states. During his sophomore year at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, he volunteered with a campus group to go to Honduras where he "was struck by the extreme poverty he saw - barefoot children collecting cans and sleeping in the streets. Fujiyama says he realized he could help give other children their own second chance".
