Montgomery Village Kiwanis Club and the Relay for Life

Members of the Montgomery Village Kiwanis club participated in the Damascus Relay for Life as they do every year. This year's event was on Saturday, May 2 at Damascus High School. The club raised over $7,000 for the Kiwanis Club team and the event as a total raised $200,000 for the American Cancer Society.  11 members from our group that were there off and on during the day and five remained overnight to serve popcorn and cheer on the walkers. A few members of the Aktion Club also participated and walked with their banner.  There were luminaries that went almost all the way around the track in memory of family and friends that have succumbed to Cancer.  It was a memorable day for all.
